| Mixed-flow duct fans | Higher pressure than a pure axial in the same envelope, quieter than a centrifugal. |

| Diagonal and booster fans | In-line pipe boosters for long runs and retrofit where static has been underestimated. |

Axial performance falls away quickly as static pressure rises. Send the resistance as well as the airflow, or the selection will be wrong.
